African Anthropologist https://www.ajol.info/index.php/aa
African Anthropologist provides a forum for African and Africanist anthropologists to explore central issues about the meaning of being human. The AA seeks to stimulate debate of ideas, social processes, and life stories in conjunction with developing anthropological methods, critical theory, and conceptual frameworks. It aims to bring out the complex webs and fabrics of life processes in other cultures, including those of anthropologists. The AA values writing that evokes and promotes cross-cultural understanding and the application of the discipline in our daily life. The journal welcomes contributions from all major fields of anthropology and scholars in other social science disciplines and the humanities. The journal publishes biannually by the Pan African Anthropological Association.

Cover artist: Mene Manresa Bodipo, VIRTUD FEMENINA
Open access and peer-reviewed, the AA journal publishes biannually by the Pan African Anthropological Association. en-US African Anthropologist 1024-0969
African Anthropologist © 1999 by Paul Nchoji Nkwi is licensed under CC BY-ND 4.0.
Collaborative practice in the treatment of epilepsy among Yoruba traditional healers in Southwest Nigeria https://www.ajol.info/index.php/aa/article/view/266268
In resource-constrained countries such as Nigeria, traditional medicine plays a pivotal role in the management of epilepsy.
Tosin Funmi Ademilokun Ojo Melvin Agunbiade Copyright (c) 2024 https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0 2024-03-02 2024-03-02 22 1 1 44
