The African Journal of Infectious Diseases accepts original research papers on the pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology and treatment of infectious diseases, impact of infectious agents on the environment and related disciplines. Reports of research related to any aspect of the fields of microbiology, parasitology, infection, and host response, whether laboratory, clinical, or epidemiologic, will be considered for publication. Major Articles, Short Communications, Correspondence, Editorials, and Review articles are considered for publication.

THEME: TACKLING NON-INFECTIOUS DISEASES WITH MEDICINAL PLANTS AND NATURAL PRODUCTS
Call for Abstracts and Papers: The Fifth International Conference of WANNPRES (August 6-9, 2012) will focus on Non-infectious Diseases. Non-infectious Diseases are caused from genetics, environmental factors or deficiencies in nutrition. A special Session will also be devoted to Traditional Medical Practitioners presentations.
Research workers in the area of Natural products, Life and Medical Sciences, Social Sciences and humanities are encouraged to submit papers of interest on diabetes, cancer, malnutrition, arterial hypertension, allergies, obesity, mental disorders, reproductive disorders and sickle-cell anaemia etc.
WANNPRES members and meeting attendees are encouraged to submit abstracts/papers online at http://www.africanethnomedicines.net/ocs/index.php/wbc/wbc Or via e-mail at foluagbedahunsi@yahoo.com, cadewumi@yahoo.com describing their research for consideration for presentation in the WANNPRES 2012 Conference. Abstracts and Papers will be reviewed by the WANNPRES Editorial Committee. Submitters will be notified whether their poster/paper has been selected before or on May 15, 2012.
