Abstract


Effects of total aqueous extracts of Mallotus oppositifolium and Euphorbia hirta (Euphorbiaceae) on intestinal contractile activity of the rat. - The contractile activity of the total aqueous extract of Mallotus oppositifolium (Mo) and Euphorbia hirta (Eh) leaves was investigated. Mo extracts (1.32 mg/mL) demonstrated inhibiting effect on the stimulation of rat ileal contractions by acetylcholine (-9 mm) and potassium chloride (-7 mm).
