Chemotherapy in eye cancer

R Dolland

Abstract

Chemotherapy is one of several treatment strategies used to halt the uncontrolled division, proliferation and unpredictable growth patterns of malignant cells.

Cancer chemotherapy research is a multibillion-dollar industry, which began in
the early 20th century when mustard gas was used in World War I as a chemical warfare agent and was found to be a suppressor of haematopoiesis.
