Focus and Scope
The Ghana Mining Journal (GMJ) is a publication which focuses on the exchange of ideas, dissemination of information and promotion of knowledge arising out of research pertinent to the effective and sustainable exploitation of mineral resources in Ghana and elsewhere. Original contributions in the following broad areas are suitable for publication in the Ghana mining journal: Geology and Mineral Exploration, Mining, Quarrying, Geomechanics, Groundwater Studies, Hydrocarbon Development, Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, Material Science, Mineral Management Policies, Mineral Economics, Environmental Aspects, Computer Applications and Mining Education.

Peer Review Process
Upon receipt of a paper, one of the appointed editors will assess the suitability of the paper. If the paper is found suitable, it is sent out to two people in the field of specialisation for peer review. Comments received from the reviewers are forwarded to the author of the paper for redress and resubmission if the paper is found to be suitable. Papers that require minor revision are required to be revised and returned to the editor within 30 days for consideration. Papers that require major revision are required to be revised returned within 90 days for consideration. Beyond this time the paper will be considered for publication after the one pending.
