Viminalol and some known compound were isolated have been isolated from the leaves of Malaysian tropical medicinal plant of Orthosiphon stamineus.
Viminalol was obtained for the first time from this plant. All the isolated compounds were identified on the basis of UV, IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Dept 90 and 135o, cosy and mass spectral data.
