A population study to determine the number of and distribution of the common land snail Limicolari flammea in a selected garden habitat is reported. A total snail population of 859 and 975 using the Lincoln index and Welch formula respectively were obtained for a farm garden measuring 1250m² while the distribution of the snails per garden plant was banana 40%; maize 20%; okro 14%; pawpaw 13%; yam 9% and bare ground 4%.
