Short Communication<br><br>The first record of <em>Agave celsii</em> var. <em>albicans</em> (Agavaceae), a Mexican plant, in South Africa
Abstract
Agave celsii var. albicans is native to the arid Hidalgo
province, Mexico. It is hereby reported from South Africa for the first
time. This alien taxon is increasingly being cultivated in the
southwestern Cape where it has the potential of becoming part of the
naturalised alien flora. In this report the plants are described and
illustrated for easy identification.
