The AA seeks to stimulate debate of ideas, social processes, and life stories in conjunction with developing anthropological methods, critical theory, and conceptual frameworks. It aims to bring out the complex webs and fabrics of life processes in other cultures, including those of anthropologists. The AA values writing that evokes and promotes cross-cultural understanding and the application of the discipline in our daily life. The journal welcomes contributions from all major fields of anthropology and scholars in other social science disciplines and the humanities.
