A Study of NuraGarba‘sRecent Artistic Style
Abstract
Visual artists the world over are known to have developed their personal style and utilized it in producing works of art. Some of them have attended conventional art schools or trainees by apprenticeship while many self-acquired the know-how. It is the position of this paper that young, creative and vibrant visual artists have continually been active and inventive as individualsor as a collective in the Nigerian visual arts sub-sector. Unfortunately, there is still a lacuna in covering and projecting their artistic accomplishments. It is in that context that this paper focuses and projects on NuraGarba and his artistic style. Personal observation of the works, oral interview and secondary sources were utilized in sourcing for datain the bibliographical profiling.Nura‘s works are innovative and artistically appealing.However, the paper only showcases selected works of the artist that were exhibited in 2017.
