Aspects technico-économiques de la transformation de <i>borassus aethiopum</i> mart (arecaceae) au Centre-Bénin

Abstract

Ce travail vise à étudier les aspects technico-économiques de la transformation de Borassus aethiopum, une espèce végétale utilisée comme produit forestier non ligneux et comme bois d’œuvre dans les communes de Savè et de Glazoué dans le département des Collines au centre du Bénin. Pour identifier les organes utilisés et étudier les aspects technico-économiques, un questionnaire d’enquête a été adressé à 70 individus, soit 55 vendeurs d’hypocotyles et 15 vendeurs d’éventails dans les communes de Savè et de Glazoué Il ressort des résultats d’enquêtes que les hypocotyles et les éventails du rônier font l’objet de commerce florissant à Savè et à Glazoué. La production d’hypocotyles est valorisée dans le secteur d’étude et représente 90 % des revenus des femmes qui s’y adonnent réellement. Les marges bénéficiaires réalisées par mois varient entre 34500 FCFA et 54660 FCFA par an pour les producteurs et entre 25000 FCFA et 120000 FCFA par mois pour les vendeurs d’hypocotyles. Le circuit de commercialisation regroupe les villes de Savè, Glazoué et Cotonou.

Technical and economic aspects of the transformation of borassus aethiopum mart (arecaceae) center-Benin

This work aims to study the technical and economic aspects of the transformation of African fan palm, a plant species used as non-timber forest products such as timber and in public Savè and Glazoué in the hills department in central Benin.
