The Impact of Privatization and Commercialization Policy on the Attainment of Millennium Development Goals in the Nigerian Economy

Abstract

This study examined the impact of privatization and commercialization policy on the attainment of millennium development goals in the Nigerian economy. To achieve this objective, an econometric analysis of ordinary least squares regression method was used. The results showed that the privatization and commercialization policy has played a major role in the attainment of the millennium development goals and growth of the Nigerian economy. However, to achieve more effective and long lasting benefits, the policy should be emasculated from political interference.
