The role of library in Nigeria's economic development process

Abstract

This paper examined the function of library as an organ of information dissemination and utilisation in Nigeria's economic development process. It emphasised the fact that adequate information that can facilitate rapid economic development in Nigeria can only be provided through the establishment and adequate funding of the library system. It delved into the importance of information in attaining a sustainable economic development capable of making life better for the Nigerian citizens.
