Sources of Support

The main source of financial support for the time being is Wollo University Kombolcha Institute of Technology. In future the journal will generate income from selling hard copies, and receive funds from the supporting institution.

Subscription information

Total number of Abyssinia Journal of Engineering & Computing issue per year are two excluding supplements: Price for purchasing of one issue – 100 ETB (Ethiopia Birr) Price for subscription for One Year – 150 ETB Price for subscription for Two Year – 250 ETB and Price for subscription for Three Year – 350 ETB Note: Above mentioned rate includes postal charges under certificate of posting by surface mail.

Abyssinia Journals Online (ABJOL), Wollo University is the publisher of AJEC.

Peer review

AJEC employs a double-blind peer-review process, where both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous throughout the process. Reviewers are selected according to their expertise and our reviewer database will constantly updated. Reviewers are asked to evaluate a manuscript for: - Originality, significance and novelty of the contribution - Interest to investigators - International relevance - Coverage of appropriate existing as well as recent literature evidences - Adequacy of methodology, analysis and interpretation - The clear, concise and jargon-free writing style - Organization of the manuscript and etc. Reviewers' comments are considered as anonymous comments to the author and also provision is made available to reviewers for providing confidential comments to the editor. Reviewers are not expected to correct or copy edit manuscripts. Language corrections (if any) are carried out by authorized language experts.

This journal publishes two issues in one volume per year.

About the journal

Wollo University is located at Dessie in the Amhara region of South Wollo, Ethiopia, and is one of the recently founded universities in 2005. The University has two campuses, one at Dessie and the other at Kombolcha towns. The Dessie campus consists of the College of Natural Sciences, College of Agriculture, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, College of Business and Economics, College of Social Sciences and Humanities, School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Law and Institute of Teacher Education and Pedagogical Science. The Kombolcha campus is named as Kombolcha Institute of Technology (KIoT) for engineering and informatics. The University was established with a vision to impart quality education to the Ethiopian community to cater to their upliftment and to accelerate the industrial and social development of the country. Wollo University is a fast-growing institute that is envisioned to be one of the top leading Universities in Ethiopia and in East Africa at large in the following decade. Thus, it strives for quality education, research and community service. The University is now expanding its scope to knowledge dissemination through research outputs by establishing online journals. The university has finalized all necessary preconditions to launch two or three online journals, namely Abyssinia Journal of Science and Technology (AJST), Abyssinia Journal of Business and Social Science & Abyssinia Journal of Engineering and Computing (AJEC).
