Focus and Scope

The African Journal of Economic Review (AJER) is a refereed, biannual Journal that publishes high quality and scholarly articles on economic issues relevant to Africa.  The AJER is an applied journal with keen interest in the following areas: Public sector economics, monetary economics, international trade and finance, agricultural economics, industrial economics, development economics, labour economics, health economics, environmental economics and economic reforms.

Peer Review Process

Each manuscript is reviewed by two anonymous reviewers.

About 10 reviewers are involved per year

Normally a reviewer is given not more than six weeks to review the paper

The managing editors make the final decision on including a submission for publication


Publication Frequency

This journal published two issues (1 volume) per year.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
