LALIGENS is a peer-reviewed journal by International Association of African Researchers and Reviewers (IAARR). It is published three times a year. Three topical issues are to be addressed by this journal – language, literature and gender with the following sub-headings among others:

• the relationship between language and development and offers a specific proposal for addressing issues of language policy and planning in Africa and elsewhere in the world

CRITICAL ARTS examines the relationship between texts and contexts of media in the Third World, cultural formations and popular forms of expression. It aims to create a space for an African and Third World perspective of media (both formal and informal) in culture and social theory.

CRITICAL ARTS aims to challenge and engage conventional academic practices which reinforce undemocratic relations in society.

Current Writing: Text and Reception in Southern Africa is published bi-annually by Routledge.  Current Writing focuses on recent writing and re-publication of texts on southern African and (from a 'southern' perspective) commonwealth and/or postcolonial literature and literary-culture. Works of the past and near-past must be assessed and evaluated through the lens of current reception.Submissions are double-blind peer-reviewed by at least two referees of international stature in the field. The journal is accredited with the South African Department of Higher Education and Training.

Dirāsāt Hispānicas is a scientific journal published by the High Institute of Humane Sciences of Tunis - University of Tunis El Manar. (e-ISSN: 2286-5977).

Échanges is a journal of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FSHS) of the University of Lomé (Togo). A paper and digital journal in French and English, Échanges is designed as a tool for disseminating scientific production in philosophy, literature and the humanities.

This university journal with an international scientific committee aims to be a place of research for an interdisciplinary approach, of crossing ideas in order to encourage the crossing of disciplinary borders.

English in Africa was founded in 1974 to provide a forum for the study of African literature and English as a language of Africa. The Ghana Journal of Linguistics is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal appearing twice a year, published by the Linguistics Association of Ghana. The Editors welcome papers on all aspects of linguistics. Articles submitted should not have been previously published.

The journal aims at providing a forum for academic discussion on all aspects of Italian culture. Journal for Language Teaching = Ijenali Yekufundzisa Lulwimi = Tydskrif vir Taalonderrig
The South African Journal for Language Teaching focuses on the publication of research in the domains of language teaching and applied linguistics with a particular focus on course and syllabus design, language testing in educational settings, and literacy and language proficiency development.
The Journal is not restricted to English – articles in all official South African languages may be included. Although the focus is on language teaching and applied linguistics n South Africa, the Journal engages with international research and researchers. The Journal places a high value on both its international standing and on scientific research in applied linguistics. Colleagues and postgraduate students from South Africa and the African continent, as well as from the wider international scholarly community, are invited to contribute to any of the following research foci:
Empirical studies. The Journal gives preference to the publication of research with an empirical base (quantitative and/or qualitative studies, mixed methods research, case studies, action research, etc.). Descriptions of language classroom interventions or courses with no empirical component are not typically considered for publication in the journal.
Longitudinal studies and large scale studies on contemporary language dilemmas will receive special consideration.
Original research articles. The majority of articles are original research articles, but replication studies to validate previous findings are welcomed too.
Conceptual articles and meta-analyses are published from time to time.
State of the art reviews. The editor may invite specific authors on occasion to write “state of the art reviews” on relevant topics.
Special issues. The journal may include theme-based research. The Journal will consider featuring invited debates in special issues, for example with invited international contributors in dialogue with local scholars.
A Festschrift of a specific colleague’s work is published occasionally.
Book reviews are welcomed, and the editorial board reserves the right either to request or to refuse to review such submissions.

Kioo cha Lugha is an international journal published by the Institute of Kiswahili Studies (IKS). The journal is devoted to the publication of papers on Kiswahili language, linguistics and literature and other African languages. Nigeria and the Classics (NigCL) is a multidisciplinary journal, double-blind and peer-reviewed. It accepts original publications in English on any aspect of classical antiquity, African History, African world view, problems and prospects, including all fields in the Humanities. Review of recent publications that relate to classical antiquity and Africa are also accepted.

The journal publishes themed articles from SONTA Annual International Conference, which usually applies itself to current issues of national or international importance but approached from the varied areas of theatre scholarship and practice. Technically, the hard copies of NTJ are made available at SONTA conferences. This is because it is owned and sponsored by the Society of Nigeria Theatre Artists (SONTA). There is virtually no subscription in print because the Association underwrites its production and shares copies among its members at annual international conferences. There are no author charges for author submissions. Articles are drawn from SONTA international conferences and published annually. NTJ is freely available online. However, SONTA members pay their annual dues and conference fees annually and such members could be considered as NTJ subscribers in addition to any other interested institutions or persons.

The Nigerian School Library Journal is a scholarly publication of the Nigerian School Library Association that focuses on issues relating to school library media centers’ establishment, administration, organization, media resources management, reading development, e-learning/m-learning, and other related topics of concern to researchers and school librarians or media specialists and those in the field of library and information sciences.

The Scientific Journal Njinga & Sepé (ISSN: 2764-1244) was created in honor of the African Queen Njinga Mbandi and the Brazilian indigenous warrior Sepé Tiarajú. The Journal respects the Universal Declaration of Linguistic Rights (1996), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948), the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity (2002) and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (2006).
Revista Njinga & Sepé  accepts and publishes texts written in any African or indigenous Brazilian language and videos of sign languages. A special exception is opened for all languages ​​of East Timor as it is a partner country of UNILAB. Texts written in any other European language (Spanish, French, Portuguese or English) must be accompanied by an abstract in an African or indigenous Brazilian language . Sign languages ​​will have 2 abstracts and a video of a maximum of 10 min. The Journal will publish one (1) volume per year, with two numbers (1st number in May and 2nd number in October) and occasionally a special volume depending on the demand of the authors and the Scientific Committee.
Njinga & Sepé Magazine is composed of six (6) sections: Section I - Unpublished articles and translations/interpretations; Section II - Interviews, book reviews; Section III - Poetry and Lyrics of Popular Songs; Section IV - Reports of experiences, photos, recipes for traditional foods, rites and festivities; Section V - Proverbs, taboos, myths and others; Section VI - Sign Languages ​​. Each author will choose a section. It is important to register because all texts must be submitted through the Journal's website. Well done to the cultures, traditions and languages ​​of indigenous peoples, African peoples and the people of East Timor. 
All texts received are first submitted to verification of originality using the Turnitin Originality software, from the company Turnitin for the detection of textual similarity and integrity in academic texts (anti-plagiarism): https://www.turnitin.com/products/originality . The texts approved in this phase are submitted to peer review (blind) to define approval or not.
Access to published works is completely free.
Authors neither pay nor receive any financial tribute for their contribution and publication.

Shakespeare in Southern Africa is interested in both literary and theatrical approaches to Shakespeare. Its geographical scope is not confined to Southern Africa. Contributions discussing the legacy of Shakespeare elsewhere in Africa, with a specific focus on the Shakespearean experience in particular African countries, are especially welcome. The journal actively seeks to publish articles investigating the impact of Shakespeare in other parts of the world, such as India, the United States, South East Asia and South America.

The South African Journal of African Languages is a peer-reviewed research journal devoted to the advancement of African (Bantu) and Khoe-San languages and literatures. Papers, book reviews and polemic contributions of a scientific nature in any of the core areas of linguistics, both theoretical (e.g. syntax, phonology, semantics) and applied (e.g. sociolinguistic topics, language teaching, language policy), and literature, based on original research in the context of the African languages, are welcome. The journal is the official mouthpiece of the African Language Association of Southern Africa (ALASA), established in 1979.

Southern African Linguistics and Applied Language Studies publishes articles on a wide range of linguistic topics and acts as a forum for research into ALL the languages of southern Africa, including English and Afrikaans. Original contributions are welcomed on any of the core areas of linguistics, both theoretical (e.g. syntax, phonology, semantics) and applied (e.g. sociolinguistic topics, language teaching, language policy). Review articles, short research reports and book reviews are also welcomed. Articles in languages other than English are accompanied by an extended English summary.

Stellenbosch Papers in Linguistics (SPiL) is an annual/biannual open access, peer-reviewed international journal, published by the Department of General Linguistics, Stellenbosch University. The papers published in SPiL are intended for scholars with an interest in linguistics and related disciplines. SPiL provides a platform for scholars to share knowledge in the form of high quality empirical and theoretical research papers, case studies, literature reviews and book reviews.
Though many of the contributions originally took the form of working papers – presented for critical discussion – all have been subjected to review. Some of the papers appearing in SPiL may be published later in a revised or extended form elsewhere.
