1. Le contenu de l'étude doit correspondre aux objectifs des Annales Æquatoria: concernant l'Afrique Centrale dans le domaine des sciences humaines. 2. Les langues à utiliser sont le français et l'anglais. 3. Les auteurs sont demandés d'envoyer une copie dactylographiée de très bonne qualité ou si possible électronique (PC ou Mac). Nous rappelons aux auteurs d'Afrique Centrale que les diskettes se dégradent rapidement. Il faut donc utiliser des exemplaires récents. 4. La présentation d'un manuscrit à la rédaction implique la cession des droits exclusifs de publication aux Annales Æquatoria. En cas de refus du manuscrit ce droit cesse et l'auteur peut en demander la restitution, mais nous ne pouvons prendre aucune responsabilité pour des pertes éventuelles. Les auteurs en recevront la notification dans les trois mois après réception du manuscrit à la rédaction. 5. Nous acceptons des textes très longs (jusqu'à 100 pages). Les changements ou abrègements souhaités seront discutés avec la rédaction. La rédaction pourra faire des changements mineurs dans la forme de sa propre autorité. 6. Nous demandons d'utiliser la graphie suggérée par l'Institut International des Langues et Civilisations Africaines de Londres, pour les mots en une langue africaine. Pour les noms géographiques dont l'orthographe selon l'Institut mentionné, s'écarte de la graphie officielle, nous demandons d'utiliser les deux en mettant un des deux entre parenthèses. 7. Les mots autres que ceux de la langue utilisée doivent être en italiques (ou soulignés pour les copies dactylographiées). Citations plus longues que 2 lignes doivent être mises en retrait. 8. Les illustrations doivent être de bonne qualité, tenant compte du fait que nous n'utilisons pas de couleurs dans la reproduction. Elles peuvent être livrées en original ou sous forme électronique. Les illustrations doivent être libres de droits ou accompagnées d'une permission de publication. 9. Nous demandons de faire un résumé en français et/ou en anglais de 10 à 15 lignes, suivi des mots-clés. Les auteurs qui le souhaitent peuvent ajouter un bref CV (5 lignes) et leur adresse. Nous demandons aux auteurs de bien vouloir nous indiquer quel est leur nom principal. 10. Les références dont mention a été faite dans le texte suivent le corpus et sont ordonnées en ordre alphabétique. 11. Notes peuvent être arrangées comme infrapaginales ou finales. Instructions to authors… 1. The content of the manuscript must be in accordance with the general scope of Annales Æquatoria, i.e. the human and social sciences in Central Africa. 2. Manuscripts are accepted in English and French. 3. Authors are requested to submit their manuscripts either in hard copy prepared with a high quality printer or with a typewriter or on diskette (PC or MAC). Authors working in Central Africa are reminded that exposure to humidity and high temperatures for longer periods of time seriously affects the quality of diskettes; they are therefore requested to send in freshly prepared diskettes only. 4. By submitting a manuscript to Annales Æquatoria the author(s) automatically devolve(s) all exclusive rights for the publication of the manuscript to Annales Æquatoria only. In case the manuscript is rejected for publication, the author(s) can request a restitution of this right for publication. However, Annales Æquatoria bears no responsibility for the possible loss of manuscripts. The author(s) receive an acknowledgement of receipt of the manuscript within three months after its arrival at the Annales Æquatoria editorial address. 5. Annales Æquatoria also accepts manuscripts that are longer than average, i.e. up to 100 pages. Possible changes or shortenings, if at all necessary, will be discussed with the editorial office. The editorial office has the right to make minor changes to its own discretion. 6. For the spelling of words in African languages, authors are requested to comply with the guidelines of the International African Institute (London, 1930). In the case of geographical names for which an 'official' orthography exist which is not in accordance with this IAI spelling, authors should choose one and add the other one between parentheses. 7. Words in languages other than the language in which the manuscript is written must be italicised (or, if a typewriter is used, underlined). Quotations longer than 2 lines must be clearly separated from the body text. 8. Illustrations must be of good quality, and it should be taken into account that Annales Æquatoria does not print colour illustrations. Illustrations can be submitted either in their original form or in electronic format obtained after scanning. All illustrations must be copy-right free or must be accompanied by a written permission for reproduction. 9. Each manuscript should be accompanied by a summary in English and/or French of 10 to 15 lines and by a short list of keywords. Authors are also invited to provide a brief biographical note of about 5 lines. 10. All bibliographical references appearing in the text must be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the article. 11. Notes can appear at the bottom of the page or at the end of the article.
