Abstract

Cette thèse d’HDR analyse la littérature numérique en la considérant à la fois comme un domaine de recherche structuré et comme un espace d’expérimentation capable de renouveler notre compréhension du texte et de l’écriture. En retraçant plus de cinquante ans de pratiques créatives avec les technologies informatiques, l’auteur montre que la littérature numérique s’est affirmée comme un champ doté de repères conceptuels, de méthodes d’analyse et de formes esthétiques propres. L’étude met en évidence les continuités et ruptures qui traversent l’histoire de ces créations. Les filiations théoriques et artistiques — de l’écriture combinatoire aux dispositifs interactifs, génératifs et collaboratifs — témoignent d’une tradition d’expérimentation mêlant langage, média et technologie. Cette diversité définit une identité singulière, où le texte devient un processus dynamique, souvent ouvert à la participation du lecteur. En soulignant l’importance de l’interactivité, de la manipulation et de la matérialité numérique, la thèse montre comment ces œuvres déplacent les notions classiques de textualité et de narration. Elle positionne la littérature numérique comme un terrain heuristique privilégié pour explorer les possibles du numérique et enrichir les sciences de l’information et de la communication.

This thesis HDR analysis literature digital considering it both as a field of research as structured and as a space of experimentation able to renew our understanding of the text and writing. In chronicling over fifty years of creative practices with computer technologies, the author shows that the literature of digital has emerged as a field with markers conceptual, and analytical methods of the aesthetic forms of its own. The study highlights the continuities and ruptures that cross the history of these creations. The relationships of theoretical and artistic — write combinatorial devices interactive, generative, collaborative and content — reflect a tradition of experimentation combining language, media and technology. This diversity sets a unique identity, where the text becomes a dynamic process, often open to the participation of the reader. Stressing the importance of interactivity, handling and materiality digital, the thesis shows how these works move the classical notions of textuality and narrative. She positions the literature of digital terrain heuristic privileged to explore the potential of digital and enrich the science of information and communication.
