La théologie africaine et les nouveaux mouvements religieux

Abstract

L’Afrique subsaharienne connaît depuis plusieurs décennies une prolifération spectaculaire des « Nouveaux Mouvements Religieux ». Ces mouvements ont marqué profondément l’ethos collectif. Au-delà du religieux, ces mouvements ont une incidence sociologique, économique, politique. Dans cette étude, il s’agira de comprendre les facteurs qui président à l’émergence et à la prolifération de ces mouvements pour saisir les aspirations spirituelles et existentielles qu’ils entendent exprimer, et les orienter dans la dynamique du salut holistique que Jésus Christ apporte à tout homme et à toute femme aimé de Dieu.

For several decades now, sub-Saharan Africa has seen a spectacular propagation of “New Religious Movements”. These movements have had a deep impact on the collective ethos. Beyond the religious, these movements have a sociological, economic and political impact. In this study, it will be necessary to understand the factors that lead to the emergence and proliferation of these movements, in order to grasp the spiritual and existential aspirations that they intend to express, and to orient them within the dynamic of the holistic salvation that Jesus Christ brings to every man and woman loved by God.
