Abstract

Giant juvenile fibroadenoma is a benign tumour and a rare type of fibroadenoma that presents in adolescent and pre-pubescent girls. Diagnosis is made through a proper physical examination and investigations, ultrasound imaging, cytopathology and ultimately by histological examination of a core or excisional biopsy specimen. This report describes the case of an 11-year-old Kenyan girl, who presented with painless, mobile, firm and non-tender mass on her right breast progressively enlarging over duration of four months that was diagnosed as a giant juvenile fibroadenoma.
