Peer Review Statement

All manuscripts submitted to the ECAJPS are subjected to preliminary assessment by the editorial office for suitability. Those that meet the requirements for further processing are then submitted to one or more independent reviewers who are subject matter experts in the work presented. The reviewers then advise the editorial office on whether to accept or reject the manuscript. Accepted manuscripts are revised by the authors to the reviewers’ satisfaction and then processed by the journal secretariat.

Peer review guidelines

Peer review selection will be based on expertise and experience. Conflict of interest should be declared and taken into consideration. Authors may suggest peer reviewers for their work.

At least two reviewers should review the manuscript. Where this is not possible or due to non-response, one reviewer’s decision may be accepted. Opinion articles, editorials and other articles not reporting primary research may not be subjected to peer review and can be accepted based on the editor’s opinion. Peer review reports should be thorough and provide a timely, objective, collegial critical evaluation of the research focusing on originality, appropriateness of methods, accuracy of results, correct interpretation of results and the validity of the conclusions presented.
