The Profession of Psychology: A systematic review of its uses and implications for African Sustainable Development

Abstract

This study presents a systematic review of relevant studies along the line of the study. The profession of psychology is being seen and presented as indispensable for African sustainable development. This is because impacts of the profession of Psychology cannot be over looked in issues of sustainability of development. This is evidence by the fact that, Psychology to a considerable degree impacts other professions known for their goals  in tremendously enhancing our environment for man’s general well-being, including: the field of: education; medicine; business and industry; criminology; politics; military sciences as well as intra-interpersonal relationships. Psychological principles and theories are applicable across human endeavors in a manner that, with psychology expansive progress is largely achieved. With the results and findings of this study, we can undoubtedly states that, psychology holds way for African sustainable development. Therefore, we recommend the application of psychological science, principles and theories every human endeavor, emphasis is on Africans’ sustainable development.
