Measures For Achieving Sustainable Rabbit Production In Ogbaegbema- Ndoni L.G.A Of Rivers State, Nigeria

Abstract



A study was conducted to ascertain ways of achieving sustainable rabbits production in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. The study population involved 120 respondents comprising 40 students and 80 farmers. Two sets of
structured questionnaire designed with a 4-point Likert type rating scale for the
students and farmers were used to elicit information. Analysis was done with a simple
arithmetic mean. Results revealed that both students and farmers were interested in
rabbits and would like to rear rabbits if introduced in schools (mean=2.00) or
encouraged by providing incentives ( mean = 1.96).
