Library cooperation among academic libraries in Katsina state: problems and challenges

Abstract

This study examined Library cooperation among academic libraries in Katsina state. Qualitative research method was adopted in carrying out this study. Interview was used as instrument for data collection. The population comprised of 7 Acquisition librarians from the schools understudy. A descriptive method of da ta analysis was used to analyse the data collected. The study revealed that there exist library cooperat ion among the academic libraries even though there is on written agreement among the cooperating academic libraries. Some of the problems and challenges identified in the study include: lack of written policy, poor funding and lack of ICT Infrastructure. Recommendations were also made
