Factors that Influence Information Seeking Behaviour of Sandwich Students in Selected Nigerian Universities

Abstract

This study examined the factors that influence the information seeking behavior of sandwich students in selected Nigerian Universities. Questionnaire was used to collect data with a response rate of (97.30%). Among the factors that influence information seeking is availability of internet resources in or near the library; (77.81%), opportunity to borrow book from the library; (72.10%), well stocked library; (66.88%), and a quiet environment; (57.09%). These were some of the factors influencing information seeking behavior of sandwich students. Some of the findings include the following responses Internet availability (99.51%); Opportunity to borrow books (97.55%); Well stocked library (92.50%); A quiet environment (75.04%).The hypotheses revealed that there is a significant difference between Undergraduate Students in factors that influence information seeking behavior by age.
