The findings show that reward  system had a significant influence on job performance of librarians under study. (t –  test 2.5). The study strongly recommend various forms of reward as the best option  to be used to influence librarians‟ job performance. Effort should be made to   harmonize salary structure of librarians to be at par with other academic staff in the similar institutions. Librarians Registration Council of Nigerian should develop a  template that will cover all aspects of the allowances that should be paid to  librarians of various institution libraries in the country.
