Cooperative Learning and Students' Affective Learning Outcome in Nigerian Chemistry Classrooms

Abstract



The research was undertaken to assess the relative learning effectiveness of two models of cooperative Learning - Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) and Jigsaw II in stimulating students attitude towards chemistry. Two hundred and fifty two Senior Secondary School II students divided into three groups were involved in the study and two hypotheses were generated for the study.



Results revealed the efficacy of the STAD and Jigsaw II models over the conventional teaching method; based on these findings, recommendations were made.
