The Relationship between Philosophy and Culture
AbstractOver the years, there has been this controversy over the relationship between philosophy and culture. It is an issue that has always polarized scholars including philosophers. On one side, a group of philosophers and scholars hold the view that philosophy is distinct from culture, whereas an opposing group is of the opinion that the two concepts are merely different names for the same thing. Using analytic and hermeneutic methods, this work takes a critical look at the two concepts -- philosophy and culture -- with a view to showing the relationship between them
