This was for the purpose of ascertaining the relevance of demographic factors on workers' commitment to organizations goal achievement in Nigeria. The ex-post facto research type was adopted for the study. A total of 200 respondents were selected for the purpose of the study, using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used was a set of questionnaire with reliability co-efficient of 0.71. The five hypotheses were tested at 0.05 significant level. The data were analysed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
The findings revealed that there was a partial relationship between demographic factors and organizational commitment. Also, there was no significant difference between male and female respondents' commitment to work. It was also found that married respondents were more committed to work than the single respondents. Also, the highly literate respondents were found to be more committed to work than the lowly literate respondents. It was recommended based on these findings that workers' education that will embrace skill re-engineering should be organized for workers of all cadre in order to foster organizational commitment. Workers' motivation in terms of provision of job incentives which can lead to improved conditions of service should be encouraged in all goal-oriented organizations in order to ensure total workers commitment to their job.
