Design, construction and testing of an electric oven
This paper presents the design, construction and testing of an electric oven. A critical analysis of the design was also carried out. The oven consisted of the oven chamber, racks, a heating element, a variable thermostat and a suitable lagging material. The oven was constructed using locally available materials and technology. It was then assembled and tested. Tests results showed that on the average, it took 22.9 minutes and 28.8 minutes to bake meat-pies and bread loaves respectively in the oven.
