Peer review
After a plagiarism check in accordance with current policy, all manuscripts are submitted for internal review by the editor-in-chief of the relevant discipline. Manuscripts deemed outside the scope of the journal or not meeting the minimum criteria of quality and originality will be rejected. The remaining manuscripts will be sent to three reviewers chosen from among the associate editors or, if necessary, from outside the editorial team. Publication of the manuscript is contingent upon at least two positive reviews from the reviewers who evaluated it. The African Journal of Science is committed to ensuring a rapid and impartial peer review of submitted manuscripts, with an evaluation period of approximately twelve weeks between submission and final decision.
