Journal of the Association of Nigerian Musicologists

Articles are initially reviewed internally before they are sent out for external assessment. Reports of two reviewers must be positive before acceptance.

JANIM's reviewing policy includes double-blind review. Also, the review process takes about 6 to eight months and the Journal has statistics on its rejection rate. For No 3 edition it was 80% while for No 4 edition it was 75%.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
