Abstract

The Months of April and May which are the end and start of dry and rainy seasons respectively in Plateau State Nigeria formed the transitionary period which was investigated. Weekly water samples collected from Dokowa village were tested for dissolved oxygen, BOD, free CO2, alkalinity and CaCO3 hardness. A common pattern for all investigated parameters showed an initial disruption of established stability followed by signs of re-establishment of another stability which, however, was of a different magnitude from the first.
