The Journal of Dietitians Association of Nigeria (JDAN), the official publication of the Dietitians Association of Nigeria, is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that was previously published biannually (two volumes per year). The primary objective of the Journal of Dietitians Association of Nigeria is to serve as a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research, evidence-based practices, and innovative insights in the fields of dietetics and nutrition, with a focus on the Nigerian and broader African contexts.
Beginning in 2023 (Volume 14), the Journal transitioned to an online-only format and now publishes on a rolling basis, maintaining one continuous volume per year.
This journal aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and ideas among dietitians, nutritionists, researchers, and healthcare professionals, advancing the understanding of nutrition-related challenges, promoting healthy dietary practices, and contributing to improved public health outcomes in Nigeria. Through its rigorous peer-review process, the journal seeks to promote evidence-based decision-making, foster interdisciplinary collaborations, and enhance the quality of nutrition and dietetics services in Nigeria and beyond.
