Peer Review
Our journal is a double-blind peer review journal
All submissions are made trough the ASJP platform, which guarantees academic transparency of the reviewing processes, .
1- the editor-in-chief receives the submission notification, first the Full text pass through a similarity checker software to detect any similarity, plagiarism or duplication (we use Plagiarism Checker X), if no issue.
2- the editor in chief designates according to the content of the article an associate editor in the field (for example: Surgery).
3- the Associate Editor checks: if the article corresponds to the objective of the journal, if the author respects the recommendations for authors. At this point the associate editor can reject the article and notify the author of the reasons for the rejection.
4- the associate editor entrusts the manuscript (anonymous) to two reviewers for evaluation.
5- after evaluation and reception of final comments, the associate editor can request an opinion of a third reviewers in case of divergence of reviewers comments.
6- After collecting expertises, the Editor-in-Chief and the Associate Editor make a decision: Rejection acceptance or acceptance after revision. The author receives comments from reviewers and editors in the event that the article is rejected or requires revision before publication.

This journal publishes two issues per year.
General
The journal is the realisation of a group of university hospital staff who acquired some experience, respectively, in the Research Center of Socialcutural Anthropology of Oran (CRASC, 2002) and the Research Unit of Social Sciences and Health (GRAS, 2013).This same group who contribute to the strengthening of editions « GRAS’s notebooks and footprints »,landed at the faculty of medicine of Oran on november,2015 to implement Journal of the Faculty of Medicine project(during the tenure of Abdelmadjid Snouber as dean of the faculty of medicine). Thus, was born Journal of the Faculty of Medicine of Oran1’s first edition (JFMO n°0) on March, 2017.Abdelmadjid Snouber, Merouane Boukrissa, Ahmed Semmoud were part of this group.

Our journal publishes mainly in electronic form for economic and ecological reasons.
A limited number of hard copies are printed distributed to authors and libraries of academic institutions as part of a journal exchange.
These printed versions are free and non-printable when stocks last.
