Focus and Scope

Islamic Studies of particular interests to scholars in the study of religion in general, and in Africa in particular. The JIS is planning to publish a series of thematic issues relevant to a broader public.

The Journal for Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed journal, and is included in the list of Approved Journals compiled by the Department of Education of the Republic of South Africa. All articles are subject to review by experts in the field.
