Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential for enhancing e-government indicators in developing countries (North Africa), in addition to  evaluating the most important challenges facing these countries when adopting the e-government indicators adopted by developed  countries, which will reveal the potential opportunities for their application. The objectives of the study were to propose possible  solutions to avoid obstacles and to enhance the use of e-government. One of the results reached is that if the North African countries  follow the projects that have been achieved by the developed countries, it is possible to overcome the difficulties and apply e- government. However, there is still a lack of detailed applications that would help developing countries implement egovernment  mechanisms and benefit from the plans and programs of leading countries and try to keep pace with them.
