Data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics. The major findings of the study among others show that majority of students information needs were driven by class assignment, quest for information and information apathy. Most of the students do not have access to online journals, databases and online public access catalog and majority of them do not have the skills required to cite information sources properly. However, majority of the students have the capacity to evaluate information before putting it to use. Following these major findings, it was recommended that information literacy should be introduced by the school management as a core course for incoming students and proper orientation should be given to students on the importance of information. Information resources should be provided to student at their convenience, and that students should be educated on ethical issues relating to the use of information.
