The paper examined the perspectives of Disruptive Technology (DT) and Disruptive Innovation (DI) as a natural phenomenon, how they affect all sectors of human endeavour and particularly, library and information systems, resources and services. It discussed the by-products of DT and DI, how they are being employed in the provision of library and information services and the challenges of employing them in library and information scene. It concluded that, there should be forward looking, risk taking and inspiring library and information centre management and authority readily available and willing to provide the requisite human and material resources and support to facilitate effective exploitation of the Disruptive Technologies and Disruptive Innovations potentials for leapfrogging and systematic advancement of library and information systems, resources and services.
