Stock Valuation, Translation Exposure And Corporate Profitability Of Multinationals In Nigeria

Abstract



This study addressed issues relating to stock valuation techniques, translation exposure analysis and their effects on the profitability profile of multinational companies (MNCs) in Nigeria. Based on stratified random sampling approach, 25 MNCs (five each from five sub-sector blocs) were selected for the study. The main tool of data collection was questionnaire, while the responses harnessed were treated using chi-square (X2) statistical method. The analytical results affirmed the relative determinant influences of the focal variables. The recommendations underscored sound professional discretion in the entire process in line with the thrust of total quality management (TQM).
