Implementation Of Rural Development Policies In Nigeria: Agenda For The Future

Abstract

Plagued with an apparently intractable problem of persistent backwardness, developing countries, including Nigeria, have been stampeded into many a policy calculated to give a face lift to the rural areas, hosts to the most severe degree of underdevelopment. The paper diagnoses the problems of implementing the well thought out policies in order to create an enabling environment for the attainment, through them, of a state of respite for the target areas.
