Abstract

The study investigated the influence of home assignment scores on class test scores of agricultural education students. Forty semi-final year students of Agricultural Education department in the Federal College of Education (Technical) Omoku Rivers State, Nigeria made up the study sample. Data analysis was by the use of mean, and correlation. Four courses offered in the first semester were used and their raw scores in homework
/assignments and class tests made up the data. Performance of students was relatively high
in homework. However, there was no significant relationship in performance in homework
and class test, since the correlation was almost negligible. It was recommended that
home assignments alone should not be used to assess students performance because it may be exaggerated.
