Effect Of Input Factors On Crop Output Among Farmers In Emohua And Etche Local Government Areas Of Rivers State, Nigeria

Abstract



The study examines the effect of input factors on crop output in Emohua and Etche local government areas of Rivers State, Nigeria. Structured interview was used in collecting data from 77 respondents in the study area. The analytical procedure involved frequency distribution, percentages, and multiple regression analysis. Cassava was given priority above other crops and results show that plot size significantly influenced output.
Recommendations include Policy intervention in the production of cassava to be encouraged by government to meet household food requirements through the land tenural system to effect an improvement in the system of land ownership.
