Peer Review

The journal uses a double-blind peer review process. Once a paper is submitted, initial checks are made by the managing editor for compliance with journal guidelines. The paper may be sent back to the author if there are inconsistencies with author instructions or rejected if the title is not within the scope of the journal. If the paper passes the initial check, they are sent to three independent reviewers who are expected to give a response within 10 days. Decision is usually taken by the verdict of majority of the reviewers. Conflicting review results may be subjected to the scrutiny of the editorial board, and requests for major/minor reviews are sent back to the authors. The managing editor makes the final decision on a paper following the information from the reviewers.

General

The Association of Radiographers of Nigeria is a registered health professional association that represent the interest of Radiographers and Radiation therapists in Nigeria.

The Association was formed at Ibadan (Adeoye Hospital) in May 1958, and had her first conference at Ibadan. The Association had consistently struggled for the emancipation of the profession without the legal framework of a regulatory body until 1987 when Decree No. 42 of 1987 was enacted as a result of the struggle.
