La resolution de problemes arithmetiques en classe de 5^eme annee primaire (CM2): proposition d’un enseignement par la schematisation

Abstract

La présente étude a pour objectif de vérifier l’impact de la schématisation sur la résolution des problèmes arithmétiques chez des élèves de 5^ème année primaire : CM2. Cette recherche a permis d’obtenir des résultats particulièrement intéressants au regard de l’objectif visé. A l’aide d’un paradigme expérimental permettant de confronter le niveau de compréhension de l’énoncé, la qualité de la résolution du problème posé ; 98 élèves, répartis en deux groupes indépendants, ont participé à cette expérience. Les conclusions obtenues, permettent de constater que lorsque les élèves font usage de la schématisation, meilleure est la compréhension du problème et leur performance en arithmétique s’améliore.

English Title: The resolution of arithmetic problems in primary class of 5^th year (CM2): proposal for a teaching by mapping

English Abstract

This study aims to verify the impact of the mapping on solving arithmetic problems in the 5^th primary grade students: CM2. This research has yielded particularly interesting results in terms of the objective. Using an experimental paradigm to compare the level of understanding of the statement, the quality of the resolution of the problem; 98 students, divided into two independent groups, participated in the experiment. The conclusions obtained allow to note that when students make use of the mapping, the better the understanding of the problem and their arithmetic performance improves.
