Mortalité liée au VIH chez les enfants aux CHU Campus et Tokoin de Lomé du 1er avril au 30 septembre 2010

Abstract

Introduction. This study aims at determine the mortality in children due to HIV infection at Campus and Tokoin teaching hospital.,br>Methodology. This prospective study which took place at Campus and Tokoin teaching hospital for 6 month (from 1er April to 30 September 2010) and concerned children aged from 6 month to 15 year old. The study focus on the following parameters: age, sexe, type of HIV, CD4 cells, etiology of death and treatment
Resultat. During the period of the study 367 children out of 2634 got HIV serology (13.93%). Among tem 33 children (0.90%) and 9 of them died.
Conclusion.. The effort of Togo to reduce the mortality due HIV gave good result.
