Computerization of academic libraries: a case study of Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife

Abstract

The paper discussed the computerization of the Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. The history, possible design options and the level of computerization were given. The Library's network architecture and the chosen design option used were explained with reasons. The state of the art of the Library's computerization, its Intranet and Internet connectivity and planned future development Internet connectivity and planned future development were also discussed.
