Claudia Wallrauch

Abstract

A 22-year-old female and previously healthy patient presented at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe, Malawi, complaining of an enlarged lymph node on the left side of her neck for 3-4 weeks in January 2017. Her case file revealed that she additionally had reported recent upper respiratory symptoms, slight fever and mild headache. No typical tuberculosis (TB) symptoms (weight loss, night sweats or cough) were present. Her Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) test was negative and her full blood count was normal except for mild leukopenia.
