Focus and Scope

The Nigerian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences is a biannual journal published by the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto. The objective of the journal shall be the advancement of science in all its aspects of theory, principles, methodology and practice, with emphasis on areas of common interest to all scientists. Papers for the Journal are to be original contribution. The authors are entirely responsible for the accuracy of data and statements. It is also the responsibility of authors to seek ethical clearance and written permission from persons or agencies concerned, whenever copyrighted material is used.

Peer Review Process

Each paper submitted for publication in the Journal is reviewed by two experts in the subject area of the manuscript. The publication of the manuscript depends on the two reviewers advising that the manuscript can be published (either in its current form, or after minor or major revision). In an event of rejection by one of the reviewers, opinion of a third reviewer is sort. The Editorial Board also reviews each paper for compliance with the Journals guidelines.

 

Publication Frequency

The journal publishes 4 issues in one volume per year

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
