The journal is published biannually, and its contents include original research, review articles, clinical trials, conference proceedings, case reports, commentaries, letters to the editor and other items of interest on the biology and diseases of the gut, liver, pancreas, peritoneum, and spleen both in humans and experimental animal models. Readers, researchers and scientists in basic medical sciences and clinical medicine related to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and its accessory organs are critical stake holders in this effort.
